META-Medicine Practitioner
Dr Ryke Geerd Hamer developed the foundations of META-Medicine (MM) back in the 1970’s, building on a model started by Penfield in the 1950-60’s where a link between the brain and organs was established. And a student of Hamer’s, Johannes Fisslinger expanded his work to add energy to the model and was the first to coin the phrase ‘META-Medicine’.
MM uses Embryology as the model where each organ, muscle, bone and tissue has a specific link to a specific part of the embryobic layer in the brain.
MM is made up of a board of 8-members comprised of doctors, PhD scientists and health practitioners, including Richard Flook. Richard is a Master NLP Trainer and Practitioner and Trainer in META-Medicine. I started training on this course with him in Oct 2010, due to qualify in a couple of weeks time.
Richard has contributed heavily in adding the emotional, social and environmental connections to the MM model and its a highly refined diagnostic tool. META-Medicine is really the starting point, by finding out what is going on in the body and using MM’s very specific information allows the practitioner to find out where the work needs to be done, which saves time for everyone, especially the client.
Once the culprits are identified the other interventions can be applied to help a client get free of the symptoms, often chronic (as in recurring time and again) for no apparent reason. This system helps to get to the bottom of things much quicker than other systems, and medical doctors are starting to take note as some are getting on board and taking the training. This saves time spent floundering when faced with a range of issues.
I started the training with Richard in 2010 and qualified as a META-Medicine Practitioner in 2011 and enjoy sharing the insights this wonderful add-on tool has to offer the medical field, as it gets right to the heart of what causes an issue and can work in harmony with alopathic medicine. I am now training on the META-Medicine Masters course.
EFT – Emotional Freedom Technique Practitioner
EFT has been around for approximately 2-decades but is probably the fastest growing alternative treatment in the western hemisphere at the moment. It’s so easy to learn which enables you to become your own expert (with practice) so you can apply it on an ‘as and when’ basis.
Even kids are being taught to use it to curb their over-exuberance and as reported in the video below, its been found to increase their focus leading to improved grades. Clearly if kids are learning it anyone can. This hands them a tool where they learn how to take responsibility for themselves while developing their awareness of others. Even the teacher feels less stressed:
Teacher reports on how his class benefits from EFT
Gary Craig (an American) took a TFT (Thought Field Therapy) course with Roger Callahan, a medical psychologist, about 20-yrs ago and finding it too complex he developed this derivative and called it EFT.
During the 3-yrs since I started using it, the basics have been whittled down and almost everyone uses the same meridian points now. Its origins lie in Chinese Acupuncture but it has clear differences in the how-to. There are NO needles instead we just tap on 8-points with 2-fingers (around the face and upper body). And by scaling the emotional intensity around xyz, you can measure how it reduces and most people notice an immediate difference in how they feel.
As this technique uses words to dig in, you will get ah-ha moments. If something has ‘played’ you for a while, this allows you to break free of what you may be doing to accommodate it, in order to get on with life as you would prefer to live it.
Phobias
For example lets take a woman who is afraid of flying, and in order to avoid that experience she’ll endeavour to find a holiday that works around it. This means one of two things:
- She takes holidays in her own country
- She looks for holidays where she can drive / sail / rail but spends far too long travelling before she can actually start her holiday
She’ll go to all these lengths in order to avoid her fear of getting on a plane and that’s just how it affects her. What about when she wants to take a holiday with family or friends, and this starts to dictate limitations for others too?
Furthermore if she has had her phobia for a long time, she may have be so used to it that she accepts it as the ‘norm’. She may wonder why everyone makes such a fuss, maybe she’s defensive about it. It may have reached a point where the mere mention of holidays has become such a ‘bogus’ topic in her house, others are loathe to raise it. Because when they do all these uncomfortable feelings come up for everyone concerned as the effects ripple out from her and it grows into a bigger deal each time.
What is it good for?
EFT is particularly good for addictions, anxiety, confidence, phobias and trauma. And as shown in the video its a great tool with children because they pick it up so quickly.
The AAMET Association is where most EFT Practitioners register to illustrate their commitment to the standard requirements of a full professional indemnity insurance and ensure continued professional development. This allows clients to feel there’s a professional body to turn to letting you know the basic requirements to ask for from a practitioner to ensure they are run their practice with integrity. This is important when seeking to work with a practitioner for deeper results.
I’m registered there having trained at EFT Brighton with Lee Turner (Levels 1&2) in 2008. At the site www.aamet.org you can find out lots more about how this technique works through articles, case studies and the online quarterly magazine AAMET Life where I act as the Deputy Editor (on the Communications Team).
MATRIX – Matrix Reimprinting Practitioner
Matrix Reimprinting is a relatively recent technique developed by Karl Dawson over the last few years, and is used as an add-on to EFT in order to made a deeper impact on past memories.
It works in line with some of the latest scientific findings discovered by scientists such as Rupert Sheldrake, Gregg Bradden, Bruce Lipton and David Hamilton to name but a few. I took my training in May 2010 with Karl who is one of only 29 EFT Masters worldwide trained by Gary Craig.
It allows you to address an outstanding issue by tapping around, visiting the memory, and reimprinting a new memory that over-rides the original. This doesn’t change what happened but changes how you feel about it on a cellular level and this disrupts the former association you had. Karl’s strapline is the excellent line of:
‘Its never too late to have a happy childhood’
I wrote an article for the September edition of the AAMET Magazine (1) see here …
NLP – Neuro-Linguistic Programming Practitioner
Introduced by Richard Bandler and John Grinder, NLP has been around since the early 1980′s and popularized by Paul McKenna when he began trainings in NLP with Richard Bandler (in the UK). I took my NLP Practitioner training with them both in London (2004).
NLP is probably more renowned in corporate training than any other quick-change technique. Its fast and works directly with the subconscious mind enabling newly strengthened behaviours through the neural pathways of the brain. What this means is that our habits and behaviours are laid down in such a way that they connect through the nervous system (and other regions). The neural pathways are part of how all behaviours repeat themselves and are essential when you think about not having to learn new behaviours every day such as how to tie your shoelaces or make a cup of tea.
However when we develop unhelpful behaviours that we’d like to re-programme quickly then NLP is one of the quickest. Part of what NLP uses are the sensory preferences you have. Most people have a predominant sense of reference which shows itself in how we learn better by reading or listening to a set of instructions. There are 5-senses, as we know, and in NLP terms they are known as submodalities.
- Auditory
- Smell
- Kinesthetic
- Taste
- Visual
These are great informers in reading body language and its quite common to have more than one. What do you think yours is/are? NLP is highly effective and works very well with Hypnosis and the Energy Remedies mentioned above.
ADVANCED Hypnotherapy Diploma
Hypnotherapy is one of the earlier trainings I took and is probably a topic that is more known of. Although some people still believe it is about ‘mind-control’. The truth is that the mind operates on the following ratio: 95% – subconscious and 5% conscious. And that’s a lot of mind to have running riot without having some input as to the beliefs, thoughts and emotions you would like to have running the show, rather than many inherited (from all sorts of unexpected sources) where you find you’re just not delivering the sort of life you’d like for yourself.
And the thing is its up to you … its up to all of us to decide what we want and go for it … because its an out-and-out myth to believe that someone or something outside of yourself is in charge of your life and has decided your fate. So once you get over that you realise the sky is the limit and learning how to take the reigns is often the first step.
I trained in Advanced Hypnotherapy at the Atkinson Ball College of Hypnotherapy. with Cherith Powell and Greg Forde in London (2006). Hypnosis has been around for approx 150+ yrs but has been more commonly recognised in the UK since the 1960′s. The process is simple and relaxing where you can hear everything being said and open your eyes at any time. Hypnosis works by quietening the ‘chattering’ conscious mind, in order to work directly with the subconscious mind and make change at the deeper level where it can change the neural pathways that connect the brain to the nervous system.
ADVANCED Psych-K Facilitator
Psych-K was developed by Rob Williams around 20-yrs ago. Its draws from Kinesiology, NLP, Visualization, Hypnosis and Meridian Energy work. This system has a wrath of techniques to draw from which makes it more adaptable and again works directly with the subconscious mind, enabling quick, responsive and immediate change.
The technique provides reliable tools to take away and use on a regular basis. I’m a qualified Advanced Psych-K Facilitator. I took my training with Mary Trenfield in Bristol (2008).
LIFE Coaching Diploma
Coaching is a great application to enable you to get from A-B using appropriate questioning from a Coach. There are a number of areas in the Balance Wheel where the aim is to have all these ‘plates’ balanced harmoniously so that your life can flow and deliver all the wonderful things you are capable of achieving.
- Career / Work / Business
- Family
- Health
- Hobbies
- Personal development
- Relationships
- Social
- Spiritual / Community
- Wealth
When life is off-balance in one or more areas it can have a domino-effect on the others and throw you off-course. Coaching sessions allow an opportunity to explore a specific aspect and bring it back into harmony in line with your everything else. I took my training in Life Coaching (Certificate and Diploma) with the NCFE at Newcastle College (2005).
